We want to give the choice when it comes to the car rental insurance. We understand that everyone has different requirements, so we recommend you consider and compare the options below and decide on the option you are comfortable with. If you are after peace of mind, the all inclusive accident liability option (giving you nil accident liability) may suit you best. Please contact our knowledgable and friendly Reservations team if you have any questions - we understand that this is an important aspect to of your car hire with us and it's important you are comfortable with it.

Pick ups between 01 April 2011 & 31 March 2012

Standard insurance is included in the rental rate. A refundable bond (which is held as your excess) of AU$385 is required. The bond is recorded against the credit card as an authorisation.

The hirer is responsible for the “excess” being the first AUD $385.00 of the cost of damage to third party property or to the rented vehicle, including windscreen and tyre damage, towing and recovery costs, theft, fire, break-in or vandalism. This also includes the cost of the daily rental for the period the vehicle is off fleet for accident repairs.

Tyre and Windscreen Cover

The liability includes cover for accidental damage to the tyres and front windscreen. The customer does not have to pay for damage to tyres such as punctures, cuts, abrasions or damage to the front windscreen such as chips, cracks and stars.

Snow Cover - June to October

Only all-wheel drive (AWD) vehicles are permitted above the snow line. The IWAR category is an AWD. Snow cover must be purchased and is AU$22 per day inclusive of GST. This cannot be pre-booked but can be added to the rental upon vehicle collection.

NOTE: All Liability Reduction cover will be made void if any of the Exclusions are breached. Refer to the full Terms and Conditions.
